About Brunswick Dental Health Associates

Dr. Peter C. LeBourdais was born in Brunswick, Maine. He attended Cheverus High School in Portland, Maine, and he received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. LeBourdais graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, and he trained in a residency program at the Togus VA hospital. He has been in private practice in Brunswick since 1976.

Dr. LeBourdais is involved in many professional and non-profit organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Merrymeeting Bay Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentists, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Currently, he is on the board of directors of the Maine Rowing Association, The Friends of Casco Bay, and the Massasecum Timber Corporation. He is a dedicated husband and father of three.

Dr. Lesley McLafferty, DMD, was born in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in Springfield, Illinois. She went to college at the University of Colorado, Boulder, earning a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature while taking prerequisites for Dental School. She attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL, where she received her DMD. Dr. McLafferty is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, and the Maine Dental Association. She has received awards and recognition from the American College of Prosthodontists, American Association of Women Dentists, and the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry. She is also the recipient of two scholarships: the Dr. Hawks Family Scholarship (excellence in crown and bridge work) and the Dr. Angela Davis Siterlet Memorial Scholarship (honoring her legacy and inspiring women dentists). In November 2024, she received her Yoga Teacher Training Certification. Her hobbies include yoga, golf, hiking, and exploring Portland, ME’s best food.
